The Johnson River House is a 3-Bedroom, 2-Bath home that sits on a private fenced acre of gardens and lawns leading down to a private dock on the river’s edge. This beautiful house is in a fantastic location on the Sisulaw River, located 60 miles West of Eugene Oregon and 10 miles East of Florence, Oregon. It is easily accessible by car (or boat) from Florence or by car from Eugene, Oregon. You will enjoy this beautiful home, with terrific river views from every room. Outside, stroll the beautiful gardens with over 87 native Oregon plants and wildflowers. Picnicking, boating, kayaking, fishing, and bird watching along the river will delight you, or take your own boat into town for dinner or sightseeing. Enjoy the expansive, intimate grounds with plenty of room to relax. In the Fall, there are a million salmon in the river; winter brings steelhead, spring brings shad, summer brings sea-run cutthroat, and sturgeon are year-round. The 17 local lakes will provide abundant additional angling opportunities. Birdwatchers will be ecstatic! Spring brings wildflowers and late summer wild Blackberries. Florence provides a private airport with a lighted 3,000 foot runway and for your easy access to the sea, the Siuslaw River's mouth extends by new jetties. Two walls of massive stones jut a quarter mile into the Pacific Ocean. This was done to enhance river navigation and allow safer navigation between river and sea.
